Training Programs
Pathways built on understanding, not obedience.
Three programs meet you where you and your companion animal are today. Each is paired with a level of ongoing support, so the understanding we build together keeps growing long after our sessions.

The Programs
Three programs, one philosophy

Where every relationship begins
Essential Foundations
The shared language every relationship is built on. We establish clear, two-way communication, build trust, and lay down the first reliable skills that everything else rests upon.
- Clear, humane communication cues
- Foundational trust and engagement
- Core skills: attention, settle, recall basics

Effortless daily life together
Everyday Companion™
We polish the skills that make everyday life a pleasure — calm greetings, relaxed leash walks, and a dog who reliably chooses you amid the distractions of the real world.
- Polite greetings and door manners
- Relaxed, connected leash walking
- Real-world reliability around distractions

Compassionate behavior change
Reactive to Relaxed
For dogs who struggle with reactivity, fear, or overwhelm. We move beyond management toward genuine, lasting relaxation — helping your dog feel safe enough to choose calm.
- Root-cause behavior assessment
- Stepwise desensitization & counter-conditioning
- Lasting relaxation, not just suppression
Support Levels
Choose the support that fits your journey
Your training program isn't chosen from a menu. It's built around you and your dog.
Every dog—and every person holding the leash—is different. Your Initial Training Consultation or Behavior Assessment helps your trainer understand your dog's needs, your goals, your current skill level, and the type of support that will be most helpful.
Your trainer will recommend the program that makes the most sense for your journey.
Guided
A focused start — ideal for foundational skills and clear next steps.
Guided is designed for the budget-conscious Do-It-Yourselfer who wants professional guidance while doing most of the training themselves. The program includes private one-on-one training sessions with you and your dog, printed training resources, and ongoing phone and email support. This option may be appropriate when the training goals are focused and the client is comfortable practicing independently between sessions.
Partnered
Deeper, sustained partnership for everyday reliability and real-world polish.
Partnered provides more hands-on support for clients who want to work closely with their trainer. The program includes additional private one-on-one training sessions with you and your dog, printed training resources, and a longer period of phone and email support. Your trainer works with you to develop skills, troubleshoot challenges, and adjust the training as you and your dog progress.
Complete
Comprehensive, long-term support — especially for complex behavior change.
Complete provides the highest level of individualized support. Your trainer spends more time working privately with your dog while you observe, ask questions, and learn what your dog is communicating. Sessions may also focus directly on the relationship between you and your dog and on helping you understand how to work effectively together. The program includes printed training resources and the longest period of phone and email support.
Not sure which level is right? We'll help you decide during your first conversation.
Training Outcomes
We train for adaptability, not just obedience
Dogs don't live in one perfectly controlled environment. They encounter new people, places, distractions, routines, and situations every day. Training should help them understand, adjust, and use their skills in the real world — not just perform a behavior in the place where they learned it.
When a dog genuinely understands what's being asked, skills generalize beyond the original training setting. They learn to cope with new situations, adjust to changing environments, and keep making good choices when circumstances change. That's the difference between a rehearsed response and a truly adaptable companion.
- Understand what's being asked
- Use skills in real-life situations
- Adjust to changing environments
- Cope with new situations
- Generalize skills beyond training
- Keep making good choices
Understanding comes first. Behavior follows.
